With the final results out for JEE and NEET 2022, students preparing for the next year are feeling the heat around them. The syllabus at most of the coaching institutes is complete.

In this blog, we give some tips to help you keep cool and optimise your preparation :)

1.Prepare a subject-wise list of all the topics -

Firstly, you should write down all the topics of Maths, Biology, Physics and all three types of Chemistry (Inorganic, Organic and Physical) on a separate sheet. It will give you an idea about the total topics to be covered/revised in the coming months (roughly three months). You need to balance the time y

ou give to each subject and topic as well.

2.Select your strong and weak topics -

Strong topics need to be made stronger and weak topics need extra efforts. Identify the reason for weakness in a topic (either you gave less time before or its a difficult topic). Take help of teachers to understand concepts and do self study to make these topics strong. At least if not strong, prepare them to a level where you can answer basic questions from that topic.

3.Make a strong revision plan and prepare each topic well -

Cover all contents for each topic (class notes, modules and any book you followed), revise them and write extra points in your old notes or a book you were referring to. You can take help from teachers and attempt a few extra topic-wise questions.

4.Make your basics strong and then go for higher level questions -

Do not ignore or miss out on preparing for easy questions. Once the basics are strong, you can solve moderate to tough questions easily.

5.Attempt as many practice/mock tests as possible -

Many times students are afraid of getting low marks in mock tests and want to avoid giving them. Never get afraid of a bad performance, re-attempt the test at home, analyse it and move forward. It will help a lot in your preparation.

6.Understand the differences in JEE Mains/Advanced/ NEET/state exams and XII board exams

Most of the topics are similar in JEE Mains and Advanced/NEET/state level exams and board exams. Only their type of questions and the way you attempt questions is different. Understand the patterns and don't get confused. While class XII board exams require you to do various projects, labs, lectures and focus on theory with the sums, competitive exams focus on the application of concepts to situations. So clear all basic concepts and you can apply accordingly.

Plan each day, week and month from now on and give wings to your dream! And if you face any challenge, you know who to reach out to ;)
