This year JEE mains dates are released for the last week of January instead of the first week as was the case for the past few years.
After the first mains exam in January first week, students used to get the remaining time of January till mid February for preparation for 12th standard board exams.
As the announcement was delayed, students expected the Mains exam to be in April and May 2023. But now after the announcement, students have some confusion regarding how to prepare because 12th standard board exams start immediately in February 2023.
We suggest you some tips and how you should plan your preparation and not to worry about it.
1.Make a 30-day preparation time table and divide time equally for physics, chemistry and maths. You can take chart paper as well. This is the most important step now.
2. Take out 3-4 hours for 12th board exam topics in a day and try to overlap it with your JEE topics of Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
3. Give 2 hours per week to remaining board subjects like English/Computer science/Economics/Electrical maintenance etc.
4. Attempt subject-wise practice question papers of 12th board exams at least once in the coming 15-20 days and judge your preparation. Take help from your college teachers for the same. This is important as the pattern of writing answers in 12th board exams is different from JEE questions (only MCQs here). State board students have to focus on their 12th state board books at this time as NCERT books are not the part of their curriculum.
5.Continue your JEE revision everyday and attempt previous year questions papers at least twice a week. This will eventually increase to attempting a previous year paper daily in the last week.
So plan well as suggested and do best utilisation of your time. And in case you face any issues, reach out to us for further assistance!
