Since college admissions based on JEE/NEET 2022 are almost complete, the main focus is on JEE/NEET 2023 aspirants. Most 12th standard boards have declared their tentative exam dates and now is a difficult time to balance the preparation for board exams as well as competitive exams.
Coaching institutes have completed their syllabus for JEE/NEET and revision schedule along with mock tests is going on. Colleges are also conducting unit tests for board exams and there is pressure to complete their syllabus as well. These months of November and December are very crucial to prepare for both the exams.
We suggest some tips to overcome anxiety and prepare well for both the exams -
1.Divide equal time of your day for self study for board exams and JEE/NEET preparation
2.Try to do similar topic in both preparation simultaneously e.g. if you are revising Newton’s laws of motion for JEE/NEET, do it from the college textbook as well
3.Complete your board exam assignments properly and be in constant touch with college authorities until board exams get over
4.Plan smaller slots of 2-3 hours each for both preparations. Take regular breaks in between
5.Increase your study hours if possible. You can dedicate 10-12 daily to studies as now is the best time to cover your syllabus as you don’t have to attend coaching classes regularly
6. Try to combine easy and difficult topics together on the same day so that you don’t get under pressure with difficult topics at a stretch and you can prepare both topics properly
With a little bit of meticulous planning and guidance, you can prepare well for JEE/NEET and board exams together. This is until January, after which your board exam preparation will require more time and attention from you!
Happy preparation and all the best!
