All parents try to do their best to support their children but unknowingly many times don’t realise what puts their child under pressure.

PROBLEM #1

Children are often surrounded by discussions of how to get into the best colleges and best branches after exams.

Expectations of getting desired results put pressure on a child during preparation.

HELPFUL PARENT APPROACH

Tell your child about the importance of these precious and formative two years and motivate them to work hard.

BUT

Assure them that you will welcome the end result whatever it may be.

PROBLEM #2

Most of the time children are surrounded by talks about toppers, tests, highest marks, results, etc.

These talks cause lots of anxiety in a child and they feel low.

HELPFUL PARENT APPROACH

Accept your child with their performance and help them improve as compared to their own previous results.

SO

Your encouragement will help them to be consistent and bring out better results.

PROBLEM #3

Children are asked questions about their performance by relatives, parents and others.

They are constantly given directions and advice to improve their marks.

Children become low on confidence.

HELPFUL PARENT APPROACH

Decide some fixed time for discussions related to academics and solve preparation strategies then itself.

AND

Talk to them about their hobbies, friends, crack jokes with them, go for walks where no academic discussion happens.

PROBLEM #4

Children are reminded that everyone around them is putting great efforts and money for preparation.

So they feel they should get the best results.

This puts them under pressure.

HELPFUL PARENT APPROACH

Tell your child about the importance of resources you provide.

HOWEVER

Assess their capabilities.

Be realistic in your approach.

Try to find out their problems and help them.

SHOW TRUST IN YOUR CHILD, LOVE THEM UNCONDITIONALLY, BE FRIENDS WITH THEM, GET REMARKABLE RESULTS !!
